Our Manufacturing Engineers coordinate and manage manufacturing projects from beginning to end, insuring compliance to the customer, industry and rms Company standards.   

Major Areas of Accountability:

  • Interpret customer prints, develop work instructions, routings and bill of materials.
  • Design and implement manufacturing process and tooling.
  • Coordinates and manages all phases of projects from beginning top end, insuring compliance to customer, industry and company standards.
  • Analyze product failures, determine root cause and corrective action for product returns and complaints related to the manufacturing operations
  • Develop manufacturing prints used for machining and assembly
  • Develop necessary process documentation (i.e. process flow, contact list, supplier change notification, etc.)
  • Inspection and release of product
  • Supports and leads actions for implementing cost reduction projects and assures appropriate level of documentation detail including sound justifications for capital improvements.
  • Provide leadership and direction to manufacturing personnel
  • Actively participate in Operational Excellence initiatives, leading efforts to improve processes consistent with lean manufacturing philosophy.

Education/Experience:

  • Job requires a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or technology (or equivalent relevant experience)
  • Minimum 3 years experience as an Engineer in a manufacturing environment
  • Contract medical manufacturing experience preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience with manufacturing process design
  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and tooling design
  • General knowledge of gauging, measurement techniques and statistical process control
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts, including statistical analysis
  • Must have experience with engineering/design software, Pro-Engineering and/or Solidworks
  • Be able to read and interpret blue prints
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with release of product
  • Previous experience with project management as related to new process/project development
