rms Company offers a comprehensive benefits package to attract and retain the best employees in this competitive market. Most benefits go into effect the first day of the next month following the date of employment.

Benefits for Hourly Employees

Medical Insurance: This is provided through Health Partners.  We offer two options for employees when selecting medical coverage.

1.  Open Access Health Plan- In network, an employee enjoys 100% coverage on Preventive Health Care Services and a $10 co-payment on Convenience Care Services.  After the calendar year deductible, a co-insurance of 20% is paid on remaining in-network medical expenses.  Employee cost for 2017, Single is $120 dollars, Single Plus One is $240 dollars, and Family is $390 dollars per month, taken out pretax.  Employee's have the ability to elect the Flex Spending Account to pay for eligible health care and dependent care expenses on a pre-tax basis.

2.  High Deductible (HDHP) Health Plan- In network, an employee enjoys 100% coverage on Preventative Health care Services.  After the calendar year deductible, a co-insurance of 20% is paid on remaining in-network medical expenses.  Employee cost for 2017, Single is $55, Single Plus One is $110, and Family is $240 per month, taken out pretax.  Employee's have the ability to elect the Health Savings Account to pay for eligible health care expenses on a pre-tax basis.

Dental Insurance: Dental insurance is through Health Partners and this plan allows employees to visit any dentist they wish. The cost of this benefit is included in the medical plan premium.

Vision Plan: A Vision benefit is available to employee and their families through EyeMed.  Eyemed has over 55,000 providers nationwide.  Employee cost for 2017, Single is $5.89, Single plus One is $11.20, and Family is $16.44 per month.

Vacation: An employee is eligible to accrue vacation upon hire. rms vacation time is accrued and calculated on an anniversary basis.

Accrual Rate: Date of hire to fifth anniversary 3 Weeks
Fifth anniversary to tenth anniversary 4 Weeks
Following tenth anniversary 5 Weeks

Holidays: RMS observes nine holiday days throughout the year, including two holiday days each for Christmas and Thanksgiving.

Profit Sharing Retirement Plan: RMS shares with its employees the profits they help make possible. The amount of the annual contribution is based on the prior year’s profits. The profit contribution has been generous in previous years given the steady growth of RMS.

401K: The 401(k) is a voluntary qualified retirement plan with various investment options to choose from.  Employees are eligible for participation on the first of the month following the completion of thirty days of employment.

Life Insurance Plan: In the event of death while employed at RMS, the beneficiary receives the amount of the employee’s annual salary up to $50,000. All employees are eligible for $5,000 death benefit. This benefit is provided at no cost to employees. In addition, new employees can purchase additional life insurance for themselves, their spouse, and/or dependent children (evidence of insurability may be required).

Short Term Disability: RMS offers short-term disability coverage to help maintain income should an employee becomes disabled. In the event an employee is unable to work due to injury or illness, it pays 60% of the weekly salary as medically necessary for up to 26 weeks. This benefit is provided at no cost to employees.

Flex Spending Account: This plan represents a great cost savings. It allows employees to pay for medical or daycare expenses using before tax dollars instead of after tax dollars. This is accomplished through payroll deductions taken out weekly to pay for daycare expenses and/or medical expenses.

Shift Differentials: To meet the demands of our customers we need to work around the clock. In order to attract quality candidates RMS offers employees extra wages to work the second and third shifts. Employees can expect a 15% shift differential when working second and third shift and a 20% shift differential when working the weekend shift (Shift differential is always capped at $3.00).
